Metasexual

Hey Internet!  How’s it going, buddy?  I know I’ve been away for a while, but I’ve missed you, I swear.  No, don’t start crying.  I promise I haven’t been fooling around with any other vast amalgams of networks using the same communications protocol.  TV?  Baby, I told you TV’s just a friend, it means nothing to me.

I’ve just been busy at work, that’s all.  I would have loved to blog away on you all night and day, but I needed to pay the bills.  But that’s over now, honey, my workload is down.  I’m going to commit to a more regular blogging schedule.  I’ll even have a substantive post up by the end of the day, honest!  I fixed up the blogroll just as you like it, adding Dylan Matthews and Veritosity.  And my network is TCP/IP-ier than ever.

Bear with me, Internet.  I’ll treat you right in the end, you know that.

Thanks guys!

After Georgetown’s drubbing of Villanova yesterday in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals, the other top seeds all decided to lose rather than face the wrath of the mighty Hoyas.  This is an understandable reaction, and I thank Louisville, Notre Dame, and Connecticut for recognizing the inevitable.

As for tonight, we continue the “We Beat You Fair and Square” tour against the West Virginia Gap-Toothed Hillbillies Mountaineers.   I’m sorry fellas, but it was a block and not a goaltend, and you’ll be lucky to stay as close to us tonight.

Go Hoyas!

Comedy Gold

Hearing about the career-ending prostitution scandal that’s currently bringing down the governor of my home state, all I can think about is how a guy named Spitzer in a sex scandal is going to make for some great pub trivia team names tonight.

I think this says a lot about me, for better or worse.

My first Kos diary

I’ve posted my first ever diary over at Daily Kos:  “More McCain Anti-Science, This Time on Vaccines”.  Check it out, and comment if you’ve got an account over there.

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately.  I was very busy at work last week, and I was sick over the weekend.  I’m currently working on a number of posts, including a Buddy Miles tribute, a look at dangerous alternative medicine in South Africa, and more evidence that Hillary Clinton has driven Andrew Sullivan into the warm embrace of psychosis.  I’ll hopefully have them up and ready before midweek.
